Ms. Cotten is a native of Knoxville, Tennessee, who graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Science in Communications in 1982. After receiving her law degree from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 1986, she practiced in Dallas, Texas for one year before returning to Knoxville in 1987.
Ms. Cotten began her Tennessee practice at another Knoxville firm, during which time she also was an adjunct professor at the University of Tennessee College of Law and with the College of St. Francis. Having focused her practice in healthcare regulatory matters, she moved her practice to London & Amburn, P.C. in 1994 and became a shareholder of the firm.
Her practice is concentrated in healthcare matters, with a focus on regulatory issues. She co-chairs the firm’s Healthcare Compliance, Regulatory Matters, HIPAA, Peer Review, and Managed Care practice group. Ms. Cotten is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association, the Knoxville Bar Association, and the American Health Lawyers Association.
