Mr. Hennessey was born in Cincinnati, Ohio. He graduated magna cum laude from Vanderbilt University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science degree in History and Political Science. While at the University of Tennessee College of Law, he served as the Articles Editor of the Tennessee Journal of Law & Policy.
Currently, he is a member of the American Bar Association, Tennessee Bar Association and the Knoxville Bar Association, as well as a member of the American Inns of Court - Hamilton Burnett Chapter. He is an active member of the Knoxville Barristers, having served as its President and Secretary/Treasurer. In 2009-2010, he served as co-chair of the Barristers Hunger & Poverty Relief Committee and was the recipient of the 2010 Public Service Award presented by Legal Aid of East Tennessee. Mr. Hennessey also serves on the board of the Blount Mansion Association and the Wesley House Community Center. In his free time, enjoys volunteering with his church.
The focus of Mr. Hennessey’s practice is medical malpractice and long term care defense, health law, mergers and acquisitions, and general business and corporate law.
